About Me

I founded my production company in 2017 - directing commercials, documentaries, and live events for brands like Cartoon Network, Damson Madder, BOY, and The Ivy.

My background in filmmaking and storytelling has always set my work apart - but it wasn’t until my own wedding that I realised where my passion truly lies.

How the Retro Hamper Started

With over 200 weddings already booked, the Retro Hamper is rapidly gaining popularity in the UK wedding scene and beyond. It’s been part of destination weddings worldwide, and there are some very exciting opportunities coming up this year as it continues to grow.

The idea came from my own wedding. My wife and I loved the charm of disposable cameras, and it struck me - I had a collection of old camcorders used for fashion campaigns that could bring something unique to the day. We set them out for our guests, and the result was incredible. The footage from those camcorders felt like it was straight out of our parents’ era - raw, natural, and beautifully candid. Some of our favourite moments were captured when we weren’t even in the room.

After our wedding went viral, vintage camcorders began popping up at weddings everywhere. That’s when I realised the Retro Hamper could become something more, offering couples an effortless way to capture real moments in a way that feels both nostalgic and authentic.

A Different Level of Expertise

I still film a select number of weddings each year, bringing a cinematic approach honed from my years of experience in the industry. Before I was behind the camera, I was in front of it - touring the world in West End productions and appearing in Disney and Warner Bros films. I later became Musical Director at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts before shifting my focus to filmmaking.

With years of experience in film, I bring a professional touch to your wedding or Retro Hamper footage. You’ll get a cinematic edit that stays true to your day - capturing the real moments without anything that feels forced or out of place. It’s all about telling your story in a way that feels personal and authentic, with a polished finish.

The Retro Hamper plays a key part in this. As part of the experience, I take the footage shot by your guests on the camcorders and seamlessly stitch it into your cinematic wedding film. It gives your video a documentary-style, behind-the-scenes touch, while still maintaining a polished, professional finish.

Unlike the cookie-cutter approach some wedding videographers take, I focus on the real moments of your day, not staged or overdone shots. No close-ups of a groom’s watch, no slow-motion jacket buttoning in front of a window. If it didn’t happen naturally, I’m not forcing it into the film. Everything’s shot handheld to make your film feel more intimate and natural -not a stabilising gimbal in sight.
